Hibiki is the only professional player of Tsugaru Shamisen in the U.K. In 2015, Hibiki has qualified to perform under the "Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa" that is granted to only limited honors artists and he is now officially recognized as a world-leading talent of Tsugaru shamisen.
Since his arrival, Hibiki has performed on many occasions, including the Japanese Emperor's birthday event at the Japanese Embassy, the Japan Matsuri in Trafalgar Square and Hyper Japan. He has been teaching over 20 students in the U.K how to play the instrument, and his lessons are becoming increasingly popular.
Got involved with Laika's stop motion animated film 'Kubo and the Two Strings' for its Shamisen sound and music.
Joined 'Shami-Camp' in Berlin as one of the instructors.
Released the 2nd Album called 'Shami-sensational' in June 2016.
Held the workshop in Berlin, Germany. This is going to be his regular event.
Qualified to perform under the "Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa".
Held his first student's concert.
Won a special Judge's prize at the Tsugaru Shamisen World Competition in Japan.
Got a London Underground Busking License.
Started teaching group lessons in Cambridge.
Worked as one of the lecturers at SOAS World Music Summer School.
Organized an original concert called 'J-Triangle', with his co-musicians from Japan.
Participated in a theatre production at the Edinburgh Festival as part of the main music staff.
